Aiphone GT-DMB-N FAQs
Do you install the Aiphone GT-DMB-N in NYC?
Yes, DSS installs and services the Aiphone GT-DMB-N across Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, the Bronx, Staten Island, and Long Island. It is a stainless steel entrance panel with a 10-key pad and NFC, so it takes the place of the front-door panel in a multi-tenant system. We look at the existing wiring first. Quoting is free and comes before the work.
How much does it cost to install the Aiphone GT-DMB-N?
The price depends on your building, the number of units or doors, and the condition of your wiring. The entrance panel is only one part of the cost. The apartment stations, power supply and cable behind it make up the rest. Older buildings with damaged or undocumented wiring often cost more than a clean pull. Once we have inspected the property, you get a clear price before any work starts.
Does the GT-DMB-N have a tenant directory?
Yes, the GT-DMB-N has a name scroll directory, so visitors can find and call a tenant from the panel. Visitors scroll to a name instead of needing to know an apartment number, which helps with deliveries, guests and new tenants. We program the directory during installation, and names can be updated later as tenants move in and out.
What warranty do I get?
The product comes with the manufacturer’s warranty, and we explain exactly what it covers before we start. For an exposed stainless entrance panel, it is worth knowing what the warranty says about weather, vandalism and power surges, since those are often treated differently from factory defects. Our own support continues after the install, so a panel problem does not leave you guessing whether it is a warranty claim or a wiring fault.
What is NFC used for on the GT-DMB-N?
NFC lets residents use compatible credentials to open the door at the panel, by holding the credential near the reader instead of typing a code. We set it up during installation and explain how to manage credentials. Because each credential can be added or removed individually, a lost card or a departed tenant does not mean changing a code that everyone else shares.
How long does it take to install the Aiphone GT-DMB-N?
Most single-door or single-unit installs are finished in one visit. A panel swap on existing wiring is the quicker case. A new multi-tenant system, or a building with several entrances, needs more days for cabling and for testing each station against the panel. Your timeline arrives with your quote, so you can arrange access and tell residents ahead of time.
Do you repair the Aiphone GT-DMB-N if it stops working?
Yes, repair is part of what we do. We diagnose and repair the Aiphone GT-DMB-N and the wiring and power around it. A panel that shows no picture, will not scroll names or won’t open the door may have a power, cable or lock fault rather than a bad panel. If a repair doesn’t make sense, we explain replacement options and prices first.
Which areas do you serve?
We serve Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, the Bronx, Staten Island, and Long Island. Our office is at 1541 E 46th Street in Brooklyn. On Long Island, that means Nassau and parts of Suffolk, so an address deep in eastern Suffolk is worth checking before you plan a project. Outside New York City the NYC intercom rules do not apply directly, and local town, village, and state codes govern how an entrance panel is installed.
